Behind The Scenes With Pure Poise

I know you have been dying to see the studio all done! Well maybe not, but I have been! It’s still not done but in these images it basically is. “Good enough, washing my hands of it for the summer”, that’s what my husband is walking away saying! 😉

So a year and a half ago I started off with just the white bedroom open space and the adjoining corner where the hanging swing chair is now. All the rest has since happened in a whirlwind it seems. This white walled space just got all painted and freshened up last month though too. So if you didn’t already know, my studio is the entire basement of my personal residence in Argonne, WI. It has a private entrance and is nestled in the middle of nowhere on 20 acres of beautiful hardwoods and swamp overlooking a private pond. So much outdoor fun can be had if you’re daring for adventure!

“Any color of neutral or jewel toned attire is dreamy on it, and nude is pretty drool worthy as well. This set was purchased as my office space hang out and didn’t last long in there! “

I always used to be a “light and airy” photographer so when I painted that first wall dark gray I wasn’t sure! But I really wanted to create some high key artsy looks, which we’ve been nailing over here. Now that one dark wall turned into four and this dark corner with the burgundy, antique sitting set is definitely a favorite of many.

The gorgeous, contemporary blue velvet sofa divides the “light” and “dark” spaces of the open studio, and is always so universal! Any color of neutral or jewel toned attire is dreamy on it, and nude is pretty drool worthy as well. This set was purchased as my office space hang out and didn’t last long in there!

This bathroom…this bathroom is what my dreams are made of. Lots of glam, with hints of rustic and natural allure, and gorgeous ambient light. The chandelier and candlelight make it dreamy as all can be for boudoir, maternity baths, fantasy shoots and couple’s boudoir!

I’ve had this wooden planked wall with hanging candles for a few months, but I just wasn’t loving it how I had it initially set up. Then I scored this beautiful peacock wicker chair on the Marketplace and although it will be spending some time outside this summer, it is also the perfect fit to pull this corner together! So excited to see how it shoots this week!!

And finally, we will end where your experience actually starts! The beauty room, my office and seating area. This is where everyone gets treated to hair and makeup services on site just before their session and where we hang out while the prep work is happenin’. A Keurig and fridge is right next to you for different water refreshments, but if you will need something a little stronger, you might want to bring that along 😉 Also shown here, the one thing you won’t find if you visit, is my 2 year old pretty little lady who is actually the Boss around here. (Side note: I grabbed my camera to do this documentation, and she took off to her room yelling, “Wait, let me get a fancy dressy on and be in your chair!” Sure thing love…

Anyway, I am pretty proud of this space that my husband and I have created for Pure Poise, and I hope that you love it too! It’s pretty great shown here, but you should really see it in person. I hope to see you in it soon!! Shoot me a msg on IG or FB and let me know what you think!

Much love, Amanda
