Finding Yourself Mid-Life

Working with middle aged women is such a fav for me. They have withstood many storms, and are ready to reconnect with their bodies in a loving way. Your body is the one thing that you were given that you get to keep until the end, so you might as well love it allllll along the way.
Q: What brought you to book a boudoir experience?

A: I was referred by a friend. I’ve seen that it seems to be “the thing to do” on social media lately. After reading through the Pure Poise website information, I decided it was something to do for ME!

Q: How did you feel leading up to, and during your experience?

A: I was a little nervous, a little scared, very excited, and tried to have an open mind. I wasn’t sure how far I would feel l comfortable going (as far as how much/little clothing I would be comfortable being photographed in).

Q: Describe your experience to your best friend. Give us the hype!

A: Amanda was amazing! She made me feel welcome and special. She was like a best friend, yet a professional at what she does. I felt beautiful, and I felt like a model, yet, I still felt like myself. I hadn’t envisioned a “perfect” shoot. I was flexible, and open to suggestions.

Q: How did seeing your final images at viewing make you feel?

A: Is that really me? Wow! I am beautiful. There was one photo that Amanda and my boyfriend loved, but I couldn’t get over how I felt, that I looked pregnant (that ship sailed almost 18 years ago!). Amanda very willingly made a minor crop and it made all the difference in the world. I LOVE MY PHOTOS! I can’t wait to see them in print, but can’t stop looking at them on my screens in the mean time!

Q: Has your experience impacted your personal life, self esteem, confidence, relationships, etc. in a way you’d like to share?

A: I feel more confident about my own strength and beauty. I know I am a strong person, I know I look young for my age. But now I can see what everyone else does!
