Magical Momma Abigail

Couture and boudoir maternity combined is one of my top favorite experiences that I provide to women. This brief time of carrying babies is so short, which makes the importance of a special keepsake session all that more special. Oh how I wish I could redo my own maternity portraits from 8 and 6 years ago, because I’m obsessed!
Q: What brought you to book a boudoir experience?

A: Being pregnant, I’ve been feeling very uncomfortable in my body. Hormones raging do crazy things which made me very self conscious. Having already done a boudoir shoot with Amanda last year, and already wanting to document this babe, things just fell into place to make it happen.

Q: How did you feel leading up to, and during your experience?

A: I really had no real expectations going into it this time! I wanted to leave room in my brain for creativity, so I didn’t overlook it. The only real shot I wanted was the arch because it made me feel so sexy last time!

Q: Describe your experience to your best friend. Give us the hype!

A: I felt outside of myself. All of my childhood fantasies of being a model became reality. I love the creative side of it and it was so fun to create with Amanda and her vision.

Q: How did seeing your final images at viewing make you feel?

A: Giddy! I felt so pretty! Getting closer and closer to baby being here, I’ve been feeling worn down. It was the perfect pick-me-up!

Q: Has your experience impacted your personal life, self esteem, confidence, relationships, etc. in a way you’d like to share?

A: My husband is my biggest supporter, but most women have insecurities running through their heads. The shoots I’ve done with Amanda have helped to open up more conversations with my husband about my insecurities and, in turn, has brought us a greater sense of intimacy (and I don’t just mean sex). It’s been an incredible gift.

Q: Anything you’d like to add in your blog feature?!

A: Amanda is amazing and makes you feel like you’re best friends, even if you’ve only just met! I have learned so much about myself through this experience.
